GOGGOMOBIL T 300 SEDAN

GERMANY

The Goggomobil was a series of microcars produced by Hans Glas GmbH in the Bavarian city Dingolfing between 1955 and 1969. Made to look like a “real” miniature car – instead of an adapted scooter – it was a big hit and soon became the best-selling microcar in Germany.

It was manufactured in 3 models: the Goggomobil T sedan, the Goggomobil TS coupe, and the Goggomobil TL van.

The Goggomobil T250 was introduced at the IFMA 1954 bicycle and motorcycle international show. It was a conventional-looking two-door sedan with a  245 cc two-stroke double rear engine.

In 1957, the single wiper was replaced by two windshield wipers, and the sliding windows were changed to traditional hand crank operated windows.

At the same time, the T300 and T400 became available with more powerful engines. The T sedan’s last design change came in 1964 when suicide doors with rear hinges were replaced by doors with conventional front hinges.

A total number of 214,313 sedans were built before production ended on June 30, 1969.
